Totally Enclosed Air Clutch-Brakes can be used in the environment with dust and humidity.
DME types can be directly mounted onto flange motors.
Typical Applications: Food Processing Machines, Can Making Machines, Wood Working Machines, A variety of Conveyors, Palletizers, General Industry Machines.

• Enclosed Type
  The Enclosed Types Clutch-Brakes enable the use at the atmosphere with dirt-humidity. Nickel-plated units are available for use at the place where water may be splashed.
• Direct Mount with Motor
  As designed for direct mount to motor, DME Series become easily clutch-brake motors.
• Easy Installation
  It is easy to mount due to one-piece structure. Cost reduction is realized as parts and assembling process are saved.
• High Response
  Interference is not generated between clutch and brake, which realizes less wear of friction facing and longer life.
• The friction facing is made of non-asbestos

A clutch-brake is totally enclosed. Air being applied in air inlet for clutch, the disc with spline is pushed, then contacts with a friction facing. Air being applied in air inlet for brake, the disc with spline moves toward opposite direction, then contacts with a friction facing for brake. As double action piston design prevents overlap of clutch and brake functions.
