Spring-Set Brakes are high capacity brakes (HC Series) consisting
of two types: Single Friction Facing Brake and Dual Friction Facing
Brake, which are engaged by springs and disengaged by air pressure.
Typical Applications: General Industry Machines,
Conveyors, Lumber Machines, Can Making Machines, Steel Making
Machines.

Spring Engaged
DFB - QFB Brakes are spring-engaged and air-disengaged.
- Fail-safe
Brakes
When power fails or air pressure drops, brake is engaged automatically.

Structure of Disc
A stable torque is generated as being not affecting by centrifugal
force at high speed.

Structure of Fin Disc
A large cooling fin generates stable torque.

Splined Sliding Face
Smooth movement and high response at engagement is realized.

of Split Facing
A better airflow realizes high cooling effect. The material
is non-asbestos.
- Low
Inertia
Low inertia enables the most suitable braking at high speed.

DFB
and QFB Series Brakes are engaged by a braking spring
and disengaged by air pressure.
Air being released, the air chamber, pressure plate
and friction plate are pushed and move, and the disc
and both friction facings contact. The friction facing
plate and housing, the disc and hub respectively move
smoothly on the spline.
Air being applied to the air chamber, the air compresses
the braking spring and moves the friction facing plate
and the brake disengages.
