Multi-Friction Facing Water-Cooled Air Brakes have high heat capacity
and realize a wide range of torque controls, which is three (3)
times wider than standard brake.
Typical Applications: Winders, Slitters, Cutters,
Coaters, Metal Working Machines, Thread Working Machines.

Double Piston Provides Wider Range of Torque Controls
The attachment of two (2) pistons allows wider range of torque
control. At high torque, the two pistons jointly operate,
and at low to middle torque, one (1) piston operates independently.
As a result, the wide torque operation range (1:60) is realized
that would normally take three (3) brakes.

Braking Workload
The high heat conductive alloy disc is employed, which effectively
absorbs generated heat, and thus has realized the longlasting
usage even under severe conditions such as continuous slip.

Compact Design and High Torque
The placement of multiple friction facings can produce twice
and quadruple torque of the single friction facing while keeping
the original diameter.

Long-Life and Stable Torque
The friction facing of BCD Series Brakes employs our originally
developed non-asbestos material, which matches well with the
special alloy discs.
The life of the friction facing is 5-10 times longer than
the other materials. The generated torque is always stable
for use of long continuous slipping.

Effective Rustproof
The water line is cupper-plated for effective rustproof.
BCD
Series Brakes contain the large and small pistons aligned concentrically
on one side. The center plate with friction facing, which rotates
with an axis, is placed between the piston-pressurized water-jacket
and the fixed water jacket. Each jacket, equipped with high heat
conductive special alloy disc, cools the brake with cooling water.
BCD100, BCD200 and BCD300 Series Brakes use 2,4,6 friction facings,
respectively.
When air pressure is applied, the piston pushes water jacket.
Then, the center plate with a friction facing is pushed against
and makes a contact with the fixed water jacket. Air is released
by return spring.
The small and large pistons can be operated jointly or independently.
