BTC Series (Caliper Disc Type Air Brakes)

Caliper Type Air Brakes are air-cooled type brakes and have a high heat capacity. Wide tension range of Max. 1:640 is realized by changing the number of operating calipers and air pressure.
Typical Applications: A variety of Printing Machines, Cutter, Slitters, Coater, Laminators, Metal Working Machines.

Feature:

• Wide Range of Torque Controls (Maximum 1:640)
  Caliper uses the diaphragm, realizing very low minimum operation pressure, and combining it with the number of operating caliper widens range of torque control up to Maximum1: 640.
• Flexible Design
  Friction facings can be chosen from three (3) different friction coefficients. The number of calipers can be changed after the mounting. Because multiple calipers can be placed, wide torque control is achieved by changing the number of calipers mounted.
• No Water Cooling and Energy-Saving Reduces Cost
  Caliper disc type dissipates enough heat by air cooling, translating into cost reduction such as initial cost, running cost and maintenance cost (such as potential water leakage and deposit removals) associated with water-cooling.

The introduction of air pressure initiates diaphragm to push piston and holds friction facing to disc from both sides.
Diaphragm system sensitively feedbacks the change in air pressure to control torque. Two (2) discs together forms a ventilation structure, realizing high heat capacity and high heat dissipation.
